technology at Laurel

iBook laptop computers clustered in movable stations—and connected via a wireless network—provide every student with easy access to technology. Upper Elementary and Middle School students use word processing and the Internet to research, organize and present information, while second and third grade students are introduced to self-paced typing instruction. Kindergarten through first grade students begin with programs which reinforce the alphabet, keyboard recognition, phonetic spelling, and beginning math and geometric shape concepts.
