On behalf of the teachers, parents, students, and friends of The Laurel School, I welcome you. Please be sure to explore our website to learn more about our dynamic programs. The About Laurel section should answer many of your questions about the types of students that benefit from the unique Laurel educational experience. I hope that once you have explored our website you will be inspired to see our programs in action and to apply for admission for your child.

Here is our application process:

1. Once you have explored this site, call us at (415) 752-3567 to reserve a spot on a group tour.

2. You may download an application for admission here, or request one by phone at (415) 752-3567.

3. After you have toured, complete your application and mail it in.

4. Once we have received and reviewed your application, we will schedule a parent interview with the Head of School and an In-School Visit (1-2 days) for your child. During the In-School Visit, the teacher observes your child interacting with his/her prospective classmates. Laurel may request educational evaluations at this time.

5. Our Admissions Committee will meet to make a decision, which will be mailed to you.

Families are encouraged to complete the application process by January 8, 2008, and will be notified of admissions decisions by March 12, 2008. Tuition Assistance applications are due on February 15, 2008. After that time, decisions on applications will be made as they are received, based on available openings in particular grades.
