What are the school’s attendance policies?

Daily, regular attendance at school is necessary for your child’s academic and personal growth. Students who arrive at school on time and ready to learn each school day learn that personal responsibility is paramount. However, we do understand that absences are unavoidable at times due to illness and family emergencies. If your child will be absent for any reason, please report it to the office between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. on the day of the absence. Upon returning to school, the student must present a note from the parent or doctor to the office with the date(s) of absence, reason, and parent signature. We excuse absences for medical or dental appointments, quarantine, attendance at a funeral, or visitation of a high school only when reported to the front office. Students are responsible for gathering their own missed assignments or tests.
